Penalties & Freelancer Restrictions
Smart Contract Penalties
π¨ Consistently Low Ratings (<2.5 Stars) β Reduced Visibility
Freelancers who consistently receive low ratings (below 2.5 stars) will experience reduced visibility and lower task-matching priority in OpenTaskβs AI-driven ranking system. If a freelancer accumulates three consecutive low-rated tasks, they will enter a probation period, restricting their access to high-value projects until their performance improves.
π¨ Missed Deadlines or Task Abandonment β Temporary Job Suspension
Freelancers who frequently miss deadlines or abandon tasks will face temporary restrictions on bidding for new jobs. Abandoning more than three active tasks without valid justification will trigger an automatic suspension, preventing them from taking on additional work until they demonstrate reliability.
π¨ Plagiarism, Fraud, or AI-Generated Abuse β Funds Withheld + DAO Arbitration
To maintain integrity, OpenTask enforces strict on-chain verification to detect plagiarism, fraudulent submissions, or unauthorized AI-generated content. Freelancers found violating these rules risk having their funds withheld, and their cases will be escalated to DAO arbitration for review. Severe or repeated violations may result in forfeited earnings and potential removal from the platform.
